When you go out, wear a facemask
They may be itchy.
They may be uncomfortable to wear.
They may be hot on your face.
They may be hard to breathe through.
Facemasks are important to wear, no matter where you’re going when traveling somewhere to grocery shop, get gas or even to pick up your mail at the post office.
The COVID-19 pandemic continues on and the number of cases continues to rise for Escambia County, Ala. At present, there are…
This virus is still out there and as long as we don’t wear facemasks, it’ll take even longer to eradicate.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the virus spreads between people who are in close contact with one another (within 6 feet); through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks as the droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs; and COVID-19 may be spread by people who are not showing symptoms.
Two quite important things to note include staying 6-feet from others (social distancing) and that the virus can spread through the air.
How can we protect ourselves and others? By wearing a facemask.
And, washing your hands.
