Make it two wins in a row for the Escambia County Blue Devils as they prepare for their upcoming homecoming game against the Gulf Shores Dolphins.
The Blue Devils (2-4, 1-3) host the Dolphins (3-3, 1-3) at ECHS Friday night and are looking to improve on their first two victories of the season in hopes of winning out to make the playoffs.
Head coach Kyle Davis said the game against the Dolphins has more importance than just homecoming.
The Blue Devils know a run for the playoffs will not be easy, but realize that it is possible if they play well against Gulf Shores as well as the rest of their opponents.
Davis said Gulf Shores is a good football team that is always competitive.
He added that the Dolphins put everything together when they step onto the field.
For the Blue Devils to pick up the win, they are going to have come together and play with a team effort, according to Davis.
Davis said the team needs to play a complete game instead of playing hard in one half and then slowing down in the other.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
