The Atmore Police Department served a search warrant on Nov. 5 to the residents of 218 Perdido Street.
After receiving complaints that the residents Delilah Wilson, 54, and Amber Kilpatrick, 30, were selling counterfeit movie DVDs, the Atmore Police investigators conducted an investigation and undercover police officers made several purchases of counterfeit movie DVDs.
The investigation revealed that Wilson and Kilpatrick were downloading movies and music from the internet, burning them to discs and selling them to the public, a felony.
While serving the warrant, police discovered and seized numerous computer systems and components, DVD and CD burners/players, counterfeit or bootleg CDs valued at an estimated $6,075 and counterfeit or bootleg DVDs valued at an estimated $152,684.
Assisting Atmore Police Department in the investigation were members of the Brewton Police Department and the Motion Picture Association of America.
