Claude Curtis Cooper

CENTURY, Fla. - Mr. Claude Curtis Cooper, 75, of Century, Fla. died Nov. 17, 2008 at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Mr. Cooper was a native of Wallace and a member of the Century community since 1977 coming from Fort Walton Beach, Fla. He was a member of the Century Masonic Lodge, Poplar Dell Baptist Church and of the United States Air Force where he retired with the rank of Master Sergeant.
His father, Howard Cooper, and his mother, Cora Cooper Jarman and a daughter, Sheila Ann Cooper preceded him in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Billie Nell Cooper of Century, Fla.; a daughter, Sharon (Gene) Findley of Byrneville, Fla.; brother, Jessie (Betty) Odom of Atmore; sisters, Polly (Carl) Gandy of Century, Fla. and Bonnie (Sonny) Davis of York, S.C.; a special sister and brother-in-law Jewel (Huddy) Hudson of Ft. Clark, Texas; a special grandchild, Heather Jordan and special great-grandchildren, McKayla and Cameron.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008 at Flomaton Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitch Herring and the Rev. Robert Gandy officiating. Interment followed at Poplar Dell cemetery with Military Honors.
Pallbearers were Kevin Harris, Dave Davis, Sonny Davis, Carl Gandy, Huddy Hudson and Carl Peterson.
Visitation was held Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel.
