January has come and gone and so have the NFL playoffs.
The beginning of February is upon us and that means one thing about this Sunday.
Super Bowl XLIII kicks off Feb. 1 and features a battle of polar opposites.
The favorite comes in as one of two five-time Super Bowl Champions (the other being America’s team the Dallas Cowboys).
The underdog makes the trip having not ever won a Super Bowl, and not having won an NFL Championship since 1946 when they were located in Chicago.
The Steelers and the Cardinals should make for an interesting match up even with how different they are.
The Steelers present one of the strongest, if not the strongest defense in the NFL this year, while the Cardinals bring their explosive offense that features a quarterback people thought was past his prime, a running back that is just now back in shape and a receiver that cannot be stopped even if he is double covered.
The battle begins for each team on the opposite side of the ball. The Steelers offense vs. the Cardinals defense. This match up will be the back-and-forth fight that makes this Super Bowl worth watching.
If the Cardinals are able to stop the Steelers’ offense then they win the Super Bowl. If they cannot then their offense must score atleast 28 points to even have a chance.
The Steelers offense needs to put up that many points to even make this game with the Cardinals’ offense just pushing down the field.
This will be an epic battle between these two teams, but the under dog has the advantage. That advantage being it is the underdog and noone expects them to do the impossible. This sports editor does though.
Cardinals 34
Steelers 21
