Rain soured out a fun day of tryouts for the Atmore Tee-ball League Saturday forcing the coaches and their potential players to wait a week before they can finalize the rosters for their teams.
James Lewis, coordinator of the Atmore Teeball League, said the tryouts have not put a dampen on anyone’s spirits.
As of today there have been a little more than 30 children registered for the league, which usually runs close to double that.
Lewis said the largest registration turnout is usually on the day of the tryous, and he added that the current number should almost double.
Opening day for the Atmore Tee-ball League is tentatively set for March 14.
