CENTURY, Fla. - Ms. Lizzie Mae Scott, 67, of Century, Fla. entered into everlasting sleep on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Gwinett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Ga.
Ms. Scott was a native of Century, Fla. and a member of the Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church. She attended school at George Washington Carver School in Century and had worked for Jim Walter Doors as a door manufacturer.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Gladys Anderson.
Survivors include, four daughters, Sylvia (George) Austin, Linda (Danny) Powell and Adrienne (James) Baker, all of Pensacola, Fla. and Sandra (Gerald) Santos of Buford, Ga.; one son, Preston R. Scott of Century, Fla.; five sisters, Corine (Daniel) Ewing and Rosie (Roy) Hale, all of Century, Fla., Aslean Gray of Albino, Mich., Mary Frances (James) Cottrell of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Debra (Robert) Morris of Albino, Mich.; two brothers, Willie (Jessie Mae) Anderson of Century, Fla. and Percy Anderson of Detroit, Mich.; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church in Century with the Rev. W.H. Carter, Pastor officiating. Retirement of her remains will be held in Century cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC directing. Public viewing will be held from 2 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the Funeral Home and her body will lie instate at the Church one hour prior to the funeral services.
