ATMORE - Lillie Lucille Freeman, 90, of Atmore died Sunday, April 12, 2009 in Atmore.
She was a homemaker, born in Huxford on Jan. 28, 1919 to the late Duncan M. and Florence Driskel Parker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jackson “Jack” Freeman; one brother, Hubbard Roy “Buck” Parker and one sister, Claudia Mae Godwin Mitchem.
Survivors are, two sons, Bobby Freeman and wife Patricia of Atmore, Tommy Freeman and wife Sharon of Maryville, Tenn.; one daughter, Lanette Freeman Kent and husband, Claude of Atmore; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles McGhee officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers were, Danny Kent, Steve Freeman, Marty Kent, Kevin Freeman, Cody Kent and Trent Freeman. Honorary pallbearers were, Jody Gilchrist, Robert Wilson Jr. and Rick Marcum.
Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home and again on Wednesday morning at the Church from 9 a.m. until service time.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
