APPLETON - Bertie Lister Blair, 87 of Appleton died Friday, April 17, 2009 in Jay, Fla.
She was a homemaker, born in Escambia County on March 20, 1922 to the late Homer and Ruby Tyree Lister.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Blair and a son, Douglas Blair.
Survivors are, three sons, Ervie Lee Blair of Century, Fla., Willie Blair of Atmore, and Wayne Blair of Opp; two daughters, Martha West of Wallace and Wanda Blair of Appleton; one brother, Bud Lister of Atmore; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2009 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Chapel with Bro. Frankie Bell officiating. Interment followed in Cooper cemetery at Appleton.
Active pallbearers were, Jesse Blair, Clifton Buchaan, Larry Little, Daniel Blair, Randal Blair and Stacy Seals.
Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
