The Grammy nominated and Gospel Music Association Dove Award winning group The Nelons made an impromptu stop in Atmore Thursday night and delivered a performance to a packed crowd at Bethel United Methodist Church.

The group, comprised of Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband, Jason Clark and their daughter, Amber Nelon Thompson, thanked Bethel member and family friend Alvin Owens for brining them to Atmore on their way from Atlanta to shows scheduled in Florida.

“We appreciate Alvin for bringing us here,” Jason Clark said. “We are so honored to be back in Atmore.”
