One killed in weekend accidents

An Atmore woman died Monday from injuries sustained in a weekend accident.
Sharon Felicia Wiggins, 20, died in Baptist Hospital as a result of a one-vehicle accident Saturday, about 3 a.m.
According to Alabama State Trooper Jimmy Dean, Wiggins was driving a 1987 Ford Tempo at a high rate of speed north on Jack Springs Road when she missed a curve and ran into the Sportsman Club building.
Wiggins was thrown from the driver's seat to the back right passenger's seat. She was partially ejected from the car.
She was transported by Atmore Ambulance Service to Atmore Community Hospital, then transferred by Baptistflight to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.
In another accident, four teenagers were injured Saturday as a result of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 21 and Woods Road Saturday night.
According to officials with the Alabama State Trooper's Office, Michael A. Nix, an 18-year-old of Atmore, was the driver of a 1995 Ford involved in the accident.
The troopers also said Randall O. Morris, a 19-year-old of Atmore, was driving a 1993 Chevrolet. There were three two passengers in the Chevrolet, Chris Knighten, a 17-year-old of Atmore and Steve Knighten, an 18-year-old of Atmore.
