A Brewton native is being held at the Escambia County Correctional Facility in Brewton, charged in connection with last week's murder of a Beulah, Fla., couple.
Donnie Stallworth Jr. turned himself in to authorities, Escambia County Chief Deputy Mike Lambert said Tuesday morning. He is being held on $1 million bond.
Stallworth is scheduled to appear at an extradition hearing at 2 p.m. today at the Escambia County Courthouse.
Stallworth is charged with murder. Six other suspects have been arrested in Florida in the case.
Byrd and Melanie Billings, a couple known in their small Florida community for their large family of adopted children, were killed in their home last Thursday.
