MURRAY, Ky. - Marshall Merwyn Harms, 86, of Murray, Ky. formerly of Walnut Hill, Fla. died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009 at Hickory Woods Retirement Center.
He was a retired farmer and a steel building contractor. Born at Ithaca, Mich. On March 26, 1923 to the late Harry and Gladys Caldwell Harms.
His parents; one grandchild; one great grandchild and one son-in-law preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Pauline Mininger Harms of Murray, Ky.; one son, Terry Harms and wife Judy of Murray, Ky.; three daughters, Jane Mininger and husband Newell of Barron, Wisc., Nancy Peaster and husband Dwayne of Macon, Miss. and Janice Koehn and husband Merle of Moundridge, Kan.; three brothers, Lowell Harms of Davisville, Fla., Dale Harms and Don Harms, both of Montenzuma, Kan.; four sisters, Phyllis Justus of Bonners Ferry, Ind., Dorothy Johnson of Faunsdale, Ruth Benner of Middlebury, Ind. and Thelma Boeckner of Walnut Hill, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009 from the Walnut Hill Mennonite Church. Interment followed in the Walnut Hill Memorial Gardens. Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.
