An Atmore man involved in a single-car accident on Martin Road in Poarch this morning has been taken by LifeFlight to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The crash took place at approximately 9:30 a.m. Although Alabama State Troopers working the scene would not release the driver’s name, posts on social media sites have identified the man as 31-year-old Robert Lowrey. Friends and family have posted that Lowrey has been transported to USA Medical Center in Mobile, where he remained unresponsive as of 10:30 a.m.
