Fridged conditions Thursday evening were perfect for the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce’s downtown holiday shopping event, “An Atmore Noel.”
Chamber Executive Director Sheryl Vickery believes despite chilly temperatures, the event went well.
Several businesses offered specials during the event and Vickery believes that may have drawn more customers to those businesses.
The Chamber held an art event in October and an antique event in November, each based around shopping locally.
As for future downtown events, Vickery said the interest is there, but no perminant plans have been made.
