PENSACOLA, Fla. - Miss Chantelle Ebette Grant was born Aug. 24, 1968 to the late Charles Grant Sr. and Sara Ankum in Hartford, Conn. She departed this life Monday, Nov. 30, 2009. She was 41 years old.
Chantelle graduated from Davenport Central High School in Davenport, La. in 1992 and immediately enlisted in the United States Navy. She served her country for seven years and received and honorable discharge. Afterward she made her home in California.
She moved to Atlanta, Ga. until currently resided in Pensacola, Fla. She lived there until death. Worked as a customer service representative and recently employed by West Corporation.
Her father, Charles Grant Sr.; brother, Charles Grant Jr.; grandparents, Sam Grant Sr., Edgar and Sara Ankum; step grandfather, David Brooks and uncles, Ed Ankum Jr., Jerry Grant and Sam Grant Jr. preceded her in death.
Chantelle leaves to cherish a loving mother, Sara Ankum Grant of Atmore; a special puppy, Charlie; grandmother, Amelia Grant of Atmore; half brother, Demetrius Reynolds of Birmingham; half sister, Kristen Grant Peters of Detroit, Mich.; many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends; special friends, Mary Jane, Tina and Shawn, all of California.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 at Liberty Baptist Church.
