ATMORE - Dorothy May “Frankie” Faircloth, 65, of Atmore died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010 in Atmore.
She was an administrator assistant with the county government, born in Kansas City, Mo. to the late Frank G. and May “Mopsy” Huffman Perkins. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Two sisters, Joyce Perkins Mick and Shirley Smith Miller, preceded her in death.
Survivors are her husband, Robert Faircloth of Atmore; two sons, David Michael Chapman of Marietta Ga. and Paul Chapman and wife, Robin Jernigan of Dahlonega, Ga.; one stepson, Rob Faircloth and wife, Sheilo of Atmore; two stepdaughters, Mary Bess Powell and husband, Buck of Atmore and Lisa Busby and husband, Pat of Jackson, Miss.; two sisters, Sharon Perkins Gammon of Sylva, N.C., and Joan Smith Parks of Lake Ozarks, Mo.; two grandchildren, Josh Chapman and Doris Jernigan; six step grandchildren, Dr. Mark Powell and wife, Katie; Mack Busby, Ross Busby; Andrew Busby; Mary Catherine Moore and husband, Owen; Elliot Faircloth and one step great grandchild, Adeline Moore.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 at First United Methodist Church of Atmore with the Rev. Jim Reece officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Paul Chapman, Jim Staff, Mark Powell, Mack Busby and Elliot Faircloth. Honorary pallbearer was Lamar Rawls.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. P.O. Box 1999 Memphis, Tenn. 38101.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.
