Mrs. Ruby L. Steadham, 89, of Mobile, died Sunday, July 29, 2001, in Mobile.
She was born on June 27, 1912, to the late Ellis Preston Shirley Sr. and Annie Mattie Graham Shirley. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Atmore.
She was retired from Civil Service with Purchasing.
Steadham was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Steadham.
She is survived by one brother, Ellis Preston Shirley Jr., of Union Springs; one sister, Johnny S. Johnson of Mobile; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 31, 11 a.m., in Oak Hill Cemetery, with Bro. J.D. Renfroe officiating.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
