Escambia County’s Blue Devils baseball team opened area play during the weekend playing the Spanish Fort Toros Friday night in Spanish Fort and Saturday in Atmore.
The Blue Devils (4-13, 0-3) lost both games of the doubleheader Friday falling 17-7 in the first game and 10-0 in the second game.
In the Saturday match up in Atmore, the Blue Devils fell 21-10 to the Toros.
Blue Devils Head Coach Jason Barnett said his team played hard against the Toros, but could not stop them from using their power while at the plate.
The Blue Devils next game is Friday at 4 p.m. Monroeville.
