Mr. Willie "Joe" Carrington Jr., 61, died Tuesday, August 7, 2001, at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola.
He was a native of Molino and a resident of Century. He was a member of Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church where he was co-chairman of the Deacon's board and member of the senior choir. He was retired from Monsanto.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Carrington Sr.
Carrington is survived by his mother, Ruth Paige of Century; three daughters, Connie Phifer of Pensacola, Donna Bibbins of Oakland, Calif. and Jacklyn Lee of Atmore; a son, Christopher Branch and his wife, Sheila, of Tacoma, Wa.; a sister, Yvonne Branch and her husband, Charles, of Tacoma; two brothers, Earl Paige and his wife, Betty and George Paige and his wife, Mary, all of Los Angeles, Calif.; two special nieces, LaShonda Pressley and Denice McKinney; two special nephews, Cordell Paige and Gregory Pressley; special friend, Barbara Wesley of Flomaton; 12 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relative.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 11 at 1 p.m. at Pilgrim Lodge Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Watson officiating.
Robinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
