An Atmore man wanted in connection with a shooting at a bar in Freemanville turned himself in to authorities today in Brewton.
Joshua Wilson turned himself in to sheriff’s deputies after a warrant was issued last week for his arrest on an assault charge stemming from a shooting Saturday, June 1 at Thymes Place, a bar on Freemanville Road.
According to Investigator Justin Hetrick, shots were fired after Wilson and Roger Hall, also of Atmore, got into an argument over Hall’s girlfriend.
Both Hall and Charles Finklea – described as an innocent by-stander – were wounded by the gunfire and taken to area hospitals for treatment.
Hall is also wanted by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department on an assault charge, but, Hetrick said, has not yet been taken into custody due to his injuries.
Wilson has been booked into the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton, where he will await a bond hearing.
