Miss Mattie Hines, 90, died Wednesday, August 22, 2001, at Atmore Community Hospital.
Hines was a native of Atmore and a member of The House of God Pillar Ground &Truth Holiness Church where she was a founding member of the church and worked as a deaconess and missionary. She attended school in the Freemanville community.
She is survived by her three daughters, Maggie Wright, Emma Daniels, and Lelia McCastle all of Atmore; and one brother, Roosevelt Hines of Rochester, N.Y.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 28 from 1 to 8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 29 at 11 a.m. at The House of God Pillar Ground &Truth Holiness Church with General Elder Archie McDougal, House of God in Andalusia, officiating.
Burial will Follow at Pierce/Rabb Cemetery .
Active pallbearers will be Church members and friends of the family.
Turner Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
