Escambia County High School’s varsity basketball teams split their games against visiting Monroe County on Friday night. The Lady Devils won, 40-27, while the Blue Devils fell by a 74-60 score.
In the boys game, Desmond Williams had 24 points but it wasn’t enough as the Blue Devils lost to the Tigers. Monroe County led 35-24 at halftime. Jarvis Knight added 14 points for the Blue Devils, who fell to 6-5 for the season.
The Lady Devils had a 25-7 halftime lead on the way to their victory.
