Claude Samuel Woodson Jr., 97, of Magnolia Springs, went home Dec. 11, 2013.

He was born Oct. 19, 1916, in Bay Minette to Claude and Claudia Woodson.

He lived in Atmore and ran Woodson’s Furniture Company for more than 50 years with his late wife, Jeanette Woodson. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Masonic order.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Graham Woodson; three children of Jeanette Woodson, Annette Mitchell, Claude Samuel Woodson III and Emily Frank; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held at Pine Rest Funeral Home, Saturday, Dec. 14, at 1 p.m., with service following at 2 p.m. Interment followed in Pine Rest Memorial Park. The funeral service was conducted by Pamela Avery.
