Northview’s Townson named player of the year

Northview senior Lily Townson has been named Player of the Year from the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Townson was selected by volleyball coaches in Florida and beat out more than 14,000 other volleyball players in Florida.
The coaches had access to the statistics of each player and that information to decide their nomination. Players couldn’t be nominated by their own coach.
It is the first time a Northview player has received the award.
