A single-vehicle crash at 3:47 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, in Escambia County claimed the life of an Atmore man.

Billy Ray Willis, 67, was killed when the 1994 Dodge Caravan he was driving left Escambia County Road 10 and overturned 10 miles north of Atmore, according to Alabama State Troopers public information officer Sgt. Kevin Cook.

Willis, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
