Bernice H. Harrison

Bernice H. Harrison, 86, of Atmore, passed away Wednesday April 9, 2014, in Fairhope.
She was a homemaker, born in Foley on Dec. 1, 1927, to the late John and Francis Schulte. She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
Those who preceded her in death include her husband, Robert Edward Harrison Jr.; a son, John Robert Harrison; and two grandchildren, Blur and Tara Harrison.
Survivors are two sons, Kenneth (Rhonda) Harrison of Summerdale and Bill (Karla) Harrison of Baker, Fla.; one daughter, Susan (Carl) Bowen of Atmore; daughter-in-law, Beckey Harrison of Magnolia Springs; two brothers, Eddie (Peggy) Hesse and John (Carolyn) Hesse all of Foley; two sisters, Catherine Lehman of Summerdale and Mary Ann (Billy) Strain of Richmond, Va.; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held at 2:30 p.m. Friday April 11, from the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, with Father Gordon Milsted officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family received friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 11, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers were great-grandchildren.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all arrangements.
