Warriors beat White Sox 8-4

The Poarch Creek Indians Warriors earned an 8-4 victory over the State Farm White Sox Thursday night in a battle of Cal Ripken Minor League teams at Tom Byrne Park.

The White Sox opened up the game with one run to take the lead as Chase Bell ripped a triple and score on a single by Kameron Bowen.

In the bottom of the first, the Warriors responded with three runs to take the lead as Jayce Sells, Jaylon Daughtry and Jason Davis all scored.

The Warriors extended their lead in the bottom of the second inning as Bailey Williams crossed the plate.

Jaylyn Lee scored a run in the top of the third to help the White Sox cut the lead to two runs, while Jackson Bonner and Bowen tied the game at four in the top of the fourth.

In the bottom of the fourth, the Warriors took the lead and kept it as Daughtry scored his second run of the game.

The White Sox were put away in the bottom of the fifth as Colby Burkette, A.J. Lowery and Rowdy Rutherford scored to help their team win 8-4.

The Poarch Creek Indians Chiefs used a late push to defeat the Atmore VFW Rangers 9-2 in Cal Ripken Minor League action Thursday night.

The Chiefs opened the game with one run as Tucker Spence scoring.

The Rangers responded with a run in the top first inning as Sam Smith hit a homerun to tie the game.

In the bottom of the second, the Rangers took the lead as Bryant Quimby scored.

The Warriors finally found offense in the top of the fourth as they scored Spence, Billy Rolin, Ian McGhee, Bailey Bass all scored to put the Warriors on top 5-2.

Four runs in the top of the sixth helped the Warriors put the game away as Spence, Rolin, Cole Wynn and Bass scored to end the game 9-2.
