Donald Earl Coleman, 71, of Atmore, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014, at his home with his family by his side.

He was self-employed as a truck driver for many years and a member of Vision Church of God. He was a devoted son and brother and loved his family dearly.

Those who preceded him in death include his wife, Louise Bennett Coleman; his brothers, William “Billy” Coleman, Col. James “Frog” Coleman and Major R. Coleman; and his sister, June Coleman.

Surviving are his son, Ronald Coleman of Nashville, Ga.; sisters, Christine Cormier of Atmore, Minnie R. English of Walnut Hill, Fla., Nancy Helsabeck of Cairo, Ga., and Jean Searcy of Atmore; brothers, Cecil S. Coleman of Atmore, Obie Coleman of Atmore and Curtis T. Coleman of Oxford, Ga.; grandchildren, Eli, Amber and June Coleman, all of Nashville, Ga.; and many other relatives and friends.

A graveside service and inurnment will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, May 23, at Nokomis Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. James Hill.
