Helen B. Ross, 88 of Atmore, passed Sunday May 18, 2014, in Fairhope.

She was a retired medical receptionist, born in Repton, on Sept. 18, 1925, to the late Carl and Artie McIntyre Brown Sr.

She was a member of The Order of The Eastern Star, Daughters of The Nile Al-Sihah, Ladies Auxiliary of VFW and American Legion.

Those who preceded her in death included her husband, Harvey L. Ross; a son, Harvey Randall Ross; a sister, Joyce Tubbs; and a brother, Carl Brown Jr.

Survivors are two sons, Ronald (Marcella) Ross and Richard H. Ross; two sisters, Hazel Hall and Nelda Brown, all of Atmore; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Services will be Wednesday May 21, at 2:30 p.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Mike Grindle officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the 2:30 p.m. service time Wednesday, May 21, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
