Howard Davis was born March 21, 1925, and departed life at home with family and friends on June 1, 2014.
He was born in Childersburg to Mr. E.V. Davis and Mrs. Virginia Davis.

Four brothers, E.R. Davis, Leon Davis, James Henry Davis and Bleonard Davis, preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories a significant other of 48 years, Mrs. Doretha Wright; four sons, Mr. Roger Cooper (Stephanie), Mr. James Shavors, Mr. Terry Wright, all of Atmore, and Mr. Larry Wright of Tampa, Fla.; five daughters, Mrs. Allison Chambers (Albert), Mrs. Delois Wilson (Michael), Mrs. Auritha Powers, all of Atmore, Mrs. Nora Underwood (Ray) of Gadsden, Mrs. Hattie Ruth Stewart of Seattle, Wash.; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist church with Dr. Michael L. Wilson presiding. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, June 6.

Mayberry Funeral Home will be directing services.
