Mable Huie Thames, 80, of McDavid, Fla., passed away Friday July 11, 2014, at her residence.

She was a homemaker, born in McDavid, on Aug. 12, 1933, to the late William Homer and Pencie Ola Bass Huie.

Those who preceded her in death include her husband, Britt Thames; one brother, Donald Huie; and a twin sister, Margie Mavis King.

Survivors are two sons, Randall (Randy) Scott Thames of McDavid, and Danny Thames of Biloxi, Miss.; one daughter, Sandra Thames Schmidt of Mobile; three sisters, Frances Green of Old Town, Fla., Lillian Green of Century, Fla. and Wylene Miller of Atlanta, Ga. and numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m., Sunday, July 20, from the McDavid United Methodist Church.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all arrangements.
