ATMORE – Brother Mack Lewis Carter, 60, transitioned to his eternal resting place on Sunday morning, May 16, 2010 at his residence.
Brother Mack Lewis Carter was born to the proud parents of Mr. John and Adell Carter Sr. whom preceded him in death.
Two sisters, Gussie Blankenship and Lucy Thomas and three brothers, John Carter Jr., Henry Carter and J.D. Carter preceded him in death.
His memories will be cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Elder Linda Carter of Atmore; a gracious adopted son, Mr. Ricky Brown of Atmore; two devoted sisters, Adell Skipper of Atmore and Betty Lyons of Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Mr. Isaiah “Frog” (Mary) Carter and Wardell (Carolyn) Carter, both of Atmore; two adopted brothers, Mr. Robert Ephraim and Bishop Willie L. Williams; one sister in law, Mrs. Joyce (Willie) Robbins; one brother in law, Mr. Henderson (Niecey) Carter Jr., both of Monroeville and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at Mayberry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was a faithful and loyal member with Bishop Willie L. Williams, pastor, officiating. Remains will lie instate from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. for viewing and visitations.
