A Sellersville community man is dead, and police are now searching for his son-in-law in connection with the murder.
Sheriff Grover Smith said the deputies responded to the home on Jimmy Sellers Road just before 10 a.m. Monday in the east end of the county, near the Florida line. When deputies arrived, they found 69-year-old Paul Phillips had been shot.
“Mr. Phillips later died from his injuries,” Smith said. “A warrant has been issued for murder for his son-in-law, Brett Richard Yeiter.”
While the case remains under investigation, Smith described it as a “very sad situation involving family members.”
Yeiter, 46, is being sought by police, and anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
