Mr. Isom Curry Jr., 76, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of Atmore (Nokomis community), died Oct. 18, 2014, at his residence.

A native of Escambia County, Mr. Curry had resided in Indianapolis since 1957. He was a graduate of Escambia County Training School in 1954. He was a retired employee of Firestone Tire and Rubber Co in Noblesville, Ind., in 1999, after 33 years of service. He was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 15, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church — Nokomis, with the Rev. Dennis K. Stephens, pastor, officiating. Retirement of his remains was in Mt. Shiloh Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC, directing.
