An Atmore man was arrested Friday and is facing several drug charges.

According to officials at the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Austin “Jaybird” Gray was booked into the Escambia County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. He is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

ECSO officials said that agents with the 21st Judicial Drug Task Force arrested Gray on Friday at the intersection of Medical Park Drive and U.S. Highway 31 in Atmore.

Gray was arrested as the result of an undercover narcotics investigation, ECSO officials said.
