Maxine Story Blalock

Mrs. Maxine Story Blalock, 78, of Stockton, answered The Master’s Call on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
She was a native of Fayette County, and a resident of Stockton for over 10 years. She attended school in Fayette County and was a retired dietitian at Fayette County Hospital in Fayette. In her leisure, she enjoyed cooking, shopping, and singing.
Those who await her in Heaven are her husband, Thomas Blalock; one son, James Blalock; her parents, Jabe and Mexcie T. Story; one sister, Rosie Nalls and three brothers, Ulysses Jones, Amos Hawkins and Charlie Cochran.
Those left to embrace her life in memory are one daughter, Mary Blalock-Hardeman of Detroit, Mich.; one son, Vincent Blalock of Toledo, Ohio; one sister, Jettie Pearl Harton of Detroit; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m. at The Triumph Holiness Church in Stockton with the Rev. Theron Hawkins Sr. officiating.
Retirement of her remains will be in Robinson Cemetery in Stockton with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC, directing.
