Mr. Azell Berry Jr., 68, of Milwaukee, Wis., formerly of Atmore, moved into his heavenly residence on Friday, April 10, 2015, while surrounded by his family at his earthly residence.

Reared in Atmore and a graduate of Escambia County Training School, Mr. Berry grew up in Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 18, at 11 a.m. at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donald Ray Palmore, eulogist, and the Rev. Isaac Bradley, host pastor.

Inhumation with military honors will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Friday from 2 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., with a family hour being held from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. His body will lie in state for one hour at the church prior to the funeral service, with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC, directing.
