Man killed in I-65 crash

A Tennessee man was killed in a crash just south of Atmore on Interstate 65 early Wednesday morning.
Trooper Jamie L. Maloy, of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Public Information and Education Unit, said that Walter D. Broadway, 26, was killed when the 2005 Chevrolet Impala he was driving left the roadway and struck a bridge support panel. The accident occurred at the Exit 57 mile marker of Interstate 65, approximately 0.5 miles south of the Atmore city limits.
Maloy said that Broadway was not wearing a seat belt, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further information is available, as the Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
