Byrne votes against Iran nuclear agreement

Rep. Bradley Byrne today voted against the Iran nuclear agreement and voted to prevent the Obama administration from lifting sanctions on Iran.

The House pursued a three-prong approach in an effort to defeat the Iran nuclear agreement.

The House:

• Passed a Sense of the Congress that President Obama broke the law by not sharing all Iran nuclear agreement materials with Congress;

• Rejected the Iran nuclear agreement in a bipartisan 162 to 269 vote; and,

• Passed a bill to prohibit the Obama administration from lifting sanctions on Iran.

Byrne has spoken out multiple times this week in opposition to the Iran deal, including speaking from the House floor on Thursday urging his colleagues to oppose the deal and stand strong behind the wishes of the American people.
