Mrs. Susie Elizabeth "Betty" English, 89, of Atmore, died Monday, September 10, 2001, in Atmore.
She was a native of Blacksher and a retired seamstress of 25 years with Vanity Fair Mills.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton English; a daughter, Margaret Peavy; a granddaughter, Brandy Morris, a great-granddaughter, Jordan Albritton; three brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by a son, Jesse W. English and his wife, Susana, of Atmore; a sister, Lila Gibson of Atmore; eight grandchildren; Sheila Johnson, Charlotte McGhee, Sherry Lovell, Michael English, Bruce English, Terri Quinn, Valerie English and Robert English; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Thursday, September 13 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 13 at 10 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Grindle officiating.
Burial will be at New Home Cemetery in Lottie.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
