Operation Christmas Child in full swing

Volunteers with Operation Christmas Child are busy this week as the world’s largest project of its kind is collecting shoeboxes at locations across the nation.
The shoeboxes are packed with toys, school supplies, hygiene items and notes of encouragement. This year, project coordinators from Atmore and the surrounding area hope to collect 28,000 shoebox gifts to deliver to children in need overseas.
Those who would like to drop off a shoebox can do so at Grace Fellowship on Nashville Avenue until Nov. 23.
The drop off times are listed below:
• Tues., Nov. 17: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
• Wed., Nov. 18: 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
• Thurs., Nov. 19: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
• Fri., Nov. 20: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
• Sat., Nov. 21: 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
• Sun., Nov. 22: 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.
• Mon., Nov. 23: 8 a.m. – 9 a.m.
