Mrs. Elsie Davis Steele, 85, of Pensacola, died Wednesday, October 10, 2001, at her residence.
She was a native of Davisville and member of Plain View Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter William and Irvie Davis; her husband, Marshall Lee Steele; a sister, Eleanor Heard; a daughter, Marilyn Annette and a son, Lee Mack Steele.
Mrs. Steele is survived by a son, David Marshall Steele and his wife, Cindy, of Abilene, Texas; two brothers, Alvin Davis of Orlando, Fla. and Willie Davis of Davisville; two sisters, Arlene Godwin of Oak Grove and Marie Davis of Davisville and two grandchildren, Aaron Steele and Benjamin Steele, both of Abilene.
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 14 at 2:30 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill Flannigan officiating.
Burial followed at Pine Barren Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Ronnie Steele, Robert Passmore, Benjamin Steele, James Edgar, Aaron Steele, Ollie Edgar, Chris Edwards and Carey Jordan.
