UF’s Sundown Slammer to be held Nov. 17

United Fund of Atmore is putting the “slammer” back into its annual lock up fundraiser this year.
The Sundown Slammer will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. next Thurs., Nov. 17, at Heritage Park.
Bail for inmates is $1,000. Inmates need to be bonded out by 7:30 p.m.
Organizers said inmates will be able to set up tables to raise additional or needed bail money at the event.
United Fund of Atmore is partnering with the mayor’s office and the police department to put on this annual event. The event is UF’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
