Escambia Academy’s Trae Lee has been selected as a 2016 Alabama Sports Writers Association Lineman of the Year Finalist in AISA.

Over his senior season on the defensive line, Lee had 67 tackles, nine sacks, nine tackles for a loss, four caused fumbles, four fumbled recovers and also started as an offensive tackle and had 25 pancake blocks. He is committed to Navy.

This is the third-straight year that a Cougar has been named a finalist for back/lineman of the year. Last year, EA running back Kris Brown was up for the award. In 2014, Garrett Kirk won the 2014 Lineman of the Year award.
