Anthony Leverne Crawford Sr.

Mr. Anthony Leverne Crawford Sr., 57, a resident of Tuscaloosa, passed away March 31, 2017 in Tuscaloosa.

He was a self-employed mechanic.

He is survived by sons, Anthony (Christa) Crawford Jr. of Mobile and DeJuan McDuell of Detroit, Mich.; mother, Fannie Harbin of Akron, Ohio; father, Percy Howard Crawford of Union; one sister, Darlene Harbin of Akron; and one brother, Pastor Ronald Harbin of Napoleon, La.

Funeral services will be held at noon this Sat., April 8, 2017, from the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Mobile with his brother, Pastor Ronald Harbin officiating. Interment will be held in Plateau Cemetery in Mobile.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the service time on April 8, 2017.

Mayberry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy Caraway Henderson

Mrs. Dorothy Caraway Henderson, 68, passed away on Sun., April 2, 2017, in Mobile.

She was a native and lifelong resident of the Atmore area and was a member of the Cross Point Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Maurene Caraway; and her husband, Donald Jay Henderson.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Harrelson (Mitch) of Atmore; three brothers, Bob Caraway, Jimmy Ray Caraway (Shona) and Johnny Dale Caraway (Tracy), all of Atmore; three sisters, Rebie Lou Blanton (Calvin) of Pensacola, Fla., Earnestine Brantley of Wedowee and Maureen Searcy of Atmore; three grandchildren, Reagan, Aiden and Rileigh Harrelson, all of Atmore; best friends, Mary Ridgeway and Eleanor Flowers; and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be tomorrow, Thurs., April 6, 2017, at 10 a.m. from the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. J.T. Guyton officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery.

 

Ester Mae Parker

Ms. Ester Mae Parker born July 4, 1927, departed this life on March 27, 2017, in a local nursing facility.

She was a native of Frisco City and a resident of Mobile. She is survived by a son, Roosevelt Parker of Mobile.

Funeral services will be held at noon today, Wed., April 5, 2017, from the Church of The Good Shepherd on Hurtel Street in Mobile with Pastor Nancy Johnson officiating. Interment will be held in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Theodore.

Eunice Seales Clark

Eunice Seales Clark was born in 1922 to parents, William Benjamin and Laura Sena Seakes in Pineville, Fla.

She passed away on April 1, 2017 at the age of 95. She attended and graduated from Ernest Ward High School. During World War II, she worked at Brookley Field in Mobile, where she met her husband, James T. Clark.

She was an avid baker known for her yeast rolls, pound cakes and oatmeal cookies. She loved the time spent in her vegetable and rose gardens and for many years found time to volunteer as a 4-H leader working with children in Escambia County, Fla.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James; sister, Eula Seals Barlow; and 11 half brothers and sisters, Eva Seales Pean, Bertha Seales Flowers, Elma Seales Gouchooft, Stella Seales Flowers, Clara Seales Roberson, Ida Seales Smith, Walker Seales, Reese Seales, EssieSeales Bartley, Cassue Seales Chappell and Emery Seales.

Survivors are five children, Barbara Rixey, Connie (Gordon) Raines, Carolyn Green, Tyrell (Rose) and Ann (John) Bingham; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Fri., April 7, 2017, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ronald Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Dry Spring Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m. on April 7 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Una Helen Milstead Haddock

Una Helen Milstead Haddock, 78, of Oak Grove, Fla., passed away, Fri., March 31, 2017, at her residence.

She was retired from Vanity Fair Mills as a work distributor, born in Pensacola, Fla. on Nov. 2, 1938, to the late Lawrence Hilton and Lillie Bell Ziglar Milstead.

She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Helton Haddock; two brothers, Lawrence Milstead Jr. and Howard Ray Milstead; and one sister, Frances Hanks.

Survivors are two daughters, Gina Haddock and Linda Haddock (Larry) Johnson, both of Oak Grove, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Yvonne Coon of Oak Grove, Fla. and JoAnn (Butch) White of Tallahassee, Fla.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held April 4, 2017, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Butch Brown officiating. Interment was held in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers were Travis Johnson, Cody Burroughs, Will Perkins, Richard Caum, Michael Hanks and Edward Godwin.

Family received friends April 3 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

William Eugene McKinley

Mr. William Eugene McKinley, 42, passed away on Sun., March 26, 2017, in Perdido.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Perdido.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Dorothy McKinley.

He is survived by his step mother, Gladys Etheridge of Perdido; one step brother, William Etheridge of Castleberry; four step sisters, Jennie Etheridge of Castleberry, Marie Etheridge of Perdido, Virginia Meeks of Key West, Fla. and Elizabeth Norwood of Atmore; one aunt, Dorothy Hubbard of Perdido; and one uncle, Harvey McKinley of Perdido.

Funeral services were held April 3, 2017, from the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sister Helen Stewart officiating.

Burial followed at the Dean Cemetery.

Visitation was held from April 2 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes.

Joshua Marshall Presley

Mr. Joshua Marshall Presley, 21, of Goodway, passed away Thurs., March 30, 2017, at his home.

He was a member of Enon Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Sandra Presley and Thelma Ward.

He was a student at Alabama Southern Community College, working toward a degree in education. He had a love for teaching students and coaching football and track.
Survivors include his parents, Brian and Alysia Presley of Goodway; three brothers, Austin Weaver and wife Morgan of Atmore, Preston Presley of Goodway and Johnathan Presley and wife, Ann of Goodway; one sister, Stephanie Davis and husband, Tim of Pensacola, Fla.; and his grandfather, Elliott Ward of Goodway.

Funeral services were held at Sun., April 2, 2017, from Enon Baptist Church with the Rev. C. L. Langford officiating. Burial followed in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery in Goodway. Visitation was held April 1 at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home.

 

Betty Carolyn Allen

Mrs. Betty Carolyn Allen, 75, passed away Sun., April 2, 2017, in Mobile.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Perdido. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was of the Holiness faith.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Joel Allen and Woodrow Judge Allen; and one infant daughter, Marshal Beverly Allen.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Reuben Allen of Perdido; one son, Tommy Earl Allen (Wanda) of Hahnville, La.; two daughters, Wanda Kersey of Perdido and Tammy Sheryl Allen (Paul Claywell) of West Virginia; three brothers, Burk Stewart, Jerry Lee Stewart and Rocky Lynn Stewart, all of Rabun; seven sisters, Barbara Ann Hadley of Pine Grove, Marilyn Stewart of Pine Grove, Sherry Gene Ryan of Pine Grove, Joal Lynette Thomas of Rabun, Margie Jewel Doyle of White House Fork, Janice Kay Sims of Rabun and Shelia Malinda Foster of Rabun; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow, Thurs., April 6, 2017, from the Dean Holiness Church with the Sister Helen Stewart officiating.

Burial will follow at the Dean Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. today, Wed., April 5, 2017, until service time at the Dean Holiness Church.
