The Atmore Police Department is looking for any information in regard to a robbery at Church’s Chicken last Friday.

Chief Chuck Brooks said a male entered the restaurant and demanded money.

“There was a round fired inside of the building, but it didn’t hit anything or anybody,” Brooks said. “A customer there had actually fought with the robber.”

Brooks said the robber got away and fled.

“The prison K-9 tracking team was called to assist and we did follow the track,” he said. “He went behind Church’s and north on Trammell Street.”

From there, the trail went cold and Brooks said the robber probably fled before the APD was called to the scene.

Brooks said the robber had a black T-shirt pulled over his head.
