Escambia County didn’t quit in a 28-6 loss to No. 3 Carroll-Ozark tonight on the road, Blue Devils head football coach Rico Jackson said.
“Our kids played hard,” Jackson said. “They played really hard. I was proud of the fact that they didn’t quit versus the No. (3) team in 5A. We felt good about that.”
The Blue Devils scored late in the fourth quarter after Jamaya Frye helped set up a 5-yard touchdown run from William Bradley. Frye had a 70-yard run during the series.
