ATMORE – Lola E. Walters, 84, passed away on July 30, 2010.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Atmore for more than 50 years and everyone who knew her, loved her. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend that will be deeply missed.

Her husband Darwin Weber Walters; son-in-law, William “Bill” Hayes; her parents and a brother, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Hayes; son, Michael Walters; granddaughter, Tonya (Robert) Hurst; grandson, Scott (Tracey) Hayes; great grandchildren, Brittany and Heather Hurst and Dakota and Seth Hayes and her brother, Herbert Phillips.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Arnold Hendrix Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel.
