Escambia County is ranked No. 3 in the first Class 4A Alabama Sports Writers Association boys basketball poll, which was released today.

The Blue Devils defeated Flomaton 59-52 in a close contest on Monday night. Last week, ECHS beat Spanish Fort and Gulf Shores in the Gulf Shores Thanksgiving Classic.

ECHS is 5-0 on the season.
